SCOPE CERTIFICATE
The Global Recycling Standard (GRS) was originally developed by CU Certification (CU) in 2008 and transferred ownership to Textile Exchange on January 1, 2011.
Textile Exchange's mission is to accelerate the sustainable development of the textile industry. This acceleration will only happen if steps are taken to ensure that real and meaningful change continues to be brought about. Requires a full understanding of the problem and seeks to substantiate the claims made. Third-party standard certification enables this.
The Global Recycling Standard (GRS) is an international, voluntary and comprehensive product standard that specifies requirements for third-party certification of recycled content, chain of custody, social responsibility and environmental practices, and chemical restrictions. The goal of GRS is to increase the use of recycled materials in products and reduce/eliminate the hazards caused by their production.
